I've searched the forum and haven't found anything that answered my problems.
So, here it is.  I made a page in publisher and clicked on save as web page.
I have the index.htm in one folder and then there's an index_files folder
that contains my pics and other htm files.  I uploaded all the files to my
geocities site(free) via their file uploader.  At first I did not have any of
their options selected about making everything in lower case and making htm
files into html files.  I layed out the files like it was on my computer.  I
placed the index.htm on the main folder, and I made a subfolder called
index_files and placed all my other files in it.  When I open up my index.htm
it sometimes brings up the pics from the home page sometimes it doesn't.
When I click on a link in the navigation bar nothing happens except for the
page turns white.  In the lower left hand I'll see the link trying to go to
index_files/xxx.html I know it's trying to pull up the page where I have it
at, but it doesn't do anything.  Please help me I'm frustrated with this.
Here is the link to the webpage so you can see what I mean.  I have uploaded
all the htm files and remade them to html files and I edited the html for the
index.html file and made sure that I had all the htm files changed to html.
I'm using IE 6.  http://www.geocities.com/makavelibomb/index.html

I noticed that when I clicked on the link it wasn't working, and i don't see
a way to edit the post.  So, here's the link that works.

Follow the publishing directions available at
http://www.publishermvps.com/WebDesign/Version2003/tabid/33/Default.aspx

and do not edit file names.

I redid the page and selected to publish the page again, but i made sure that
all the files were in the same folder.  I got the page on the web, but I
noticed that some of thinks work, but some don't.  I links that are all text
like the links at the bottom of the page work fine.  The links that are
pictures or icons are the ones that aren't working.  I did put a hyperlink on
some pictures, and my main navigation bar had the proper hyperlinks.  So, why
is it that the links aren't working?

Since geocities is framing your pages, the framing will break any relative
hyperlinks.
