Problems with hyperlink on CD ROM

Hi Guys,
I'm having problems with a web page burned to cd. On my harddrive, the
html page works perfect. It contains a hyperlink to a PDF-file that is
in the same folder as the html, so the hyperlink has a relative path to
that PDF (only filename, without any foldernames, drive letters etc.).
I've burned that folder containing html and pdf to a cd-rom.
Now, if I want to click on the hyperlink, nothing happens anymore. If I
do rightclick -> "save target..." i can save the pdf to hard drive and
open the pdf manually.
Could someone please explain me, why this occurs and help me out to
solve this problem. thanks for any help or hint in advance.

Look closely at that hyperlink and verify that it is a path that is indeed
the same path as the physical file.
And look closely at the path to verify spelling and letter case as compared
to the physical file.

hi, the path is correct! as i mentioned, if i right click on the link,
and choose "save target", i can save the pdf on my hard disk.
Here is my code:
<TD >
<span class="Stil2"><A href=".\List.pdf">List</A></span>
</TD>

and I've tried

<TD >
<span class="Stil2"><A href="List.pdf">List</A></span>
</TD>

<TD >
<span class="Stil2"><A href="./List.pdf">List</A></span>
</TD>

all versions work on hard disk, but not on the cd.

Would be great, if you could help me!
Tia
