Create a link to open an Outlook calendar item in webpage?

I have seen on many websites an icon you click that opens a .vcal that can be
saved to Outlook.  How do I insert that into my publisher webpage?

I have not used a *.vcal file, but if it is like the Vcard, then you would
create your file, upload it to your site, and write an absolute link to it.
I would put it in a subfolder, but read the following article to understand
and decide:
