I am trying to upload a video file (wmv), so that when a user on-line on my
web site clicks on the picture, it hyperlinks to my wmv file and opens up in
windows media player to start the video. I cannot seem to find out how to do
this. Publisher also doesn't seem to have the capability to edit html code
behind the scenes.
PLEASE HELP!!

You are on the right track, but remember that its going to take the dial-up
user a long time to download your file. Read "Including external files in a
Publisher web":
http://msmvps.com/blogs/dbartosik/articles/80561.aspx

Publisher is not an html editor. Read "Using Publisher for web sites":
http://msmvps.com/blogs/dbartosik/articles/80566.aspx
You didn't say why you wanted to edit the code, but if you are wanting to
insert code into your Pub doc, look at the Insert HTML Code Fragment
feature.

if you do the link to the file keeped on a specific folder it will open
automaticly. the interfase to do that it's out of you manegment because
there are many diferents users on the world.

All depends how customers (web-surferes) have configure their PC's.
Can use windows media player, quick time, winamp, real player, etc etc to
wath the video files, as the default.
Then you can do nothing just put the video file on your site.

I've seen my videos in many diferents ways on my customer's offices.
