How do i set up the ablity for someone to use a search to get information on
my website?

I would look at the Google search engine or similar. I believe that Google
provides some script that you can insert via the "insert htm code fragment"
tool into your web page. If you don't like the script that Google provides,
then use Google to find alternatives.
