Did you forget to add the ".com" like you did in your post?

If this is your site
http://todd.smith14.home.comcast.net/index_files/Page319.htm

It is **painfully** slow on broadband.

I couldn't get everything to upload. Your message may be the most motivating
message out there but your site sure doesn't do it's job of representing
you. Do yourself a favor - use a real website creating program or hire
someone to do so.

The problems with his site have nothing to do with the tool used.

JoAnn, I would also suggest that before you jump on yet another opportunity
to criticize people for choosing to use Publisher to build their sites, and
then slamming their efforts, that perhaps the more constructive and helpful
thing would be to honor their choice, and help them build the best site they
can?

I had hopes that in this thread you were going to actually be helpful for a
change, by pointing out the omission of the ".com", but you just could not
resist slamming him for using Publisher, and for his site not being as good
as you think it should be. I am disappointed...and really don't know why you
bother posting on this newsgroup at all.

Take a moment and read his home page:

His message is too good to be on a site that isn't working for him.

You are incredulous. Obviously you didn't bother reading or understanding
his message. Did you even bother loading his home page and reading it?

Your answer should have been, yes, we should help him make it as good as
possible with the tool he has chosen to use...not tell him to get someone
else to build it for him.

You just don't get it, do you? You are supposed to be a Publisher MVP...

If you click on your picture, an OE message pops up for me ok, with
"comments" in the subject field. I would suggest that since this is a new
gmail account, that you double check that it that you have it spelled
correctly, and setup correctly with Gmail. Try sending yourself an email
perhaps from OE, and another email account. If that doesn't lead to a
solution, please post back.

If I could also suggest that instead of having the large image in the back
ground, which takes a long time to load,  that perhaps you apply a
background. Go to Format > More Backgrounds and choose a Texture, Tint, or
you can insert a small background GIF under the Picture tab. When you do
this in your Publisher document, it will be applied to each page throughout
your site, and you will get more consistency. I noticed that on your home
page you are trying to get another look. If you applied a background on the
home page, that should show throughout the site, and you wouldn't want to
try to make each page different. Also if you happen to be using master
pages, that should be reserved for print documents, not your web site.
Changing your background, might also solve the problem that you have with
the "add me" code snippet that you tried to insert. You can't overlap a
"code fragment box" with an image, or any other design element.

Good luck.
