Trying to update my web pages with Publisher 2003 (after previously using
97).  My ISP advised me to use this URL:

ftp://myaccountname:mypassword@homepages.demon.co.uk

I entered this as filename in the "Publish to Web" dialogue box, with this
result:

Working ... Publishing HTML files
Saving as:
'ftp://homepages.demon.co.uk/vol2/demon.co.uk/j/o/h/myaccountname/www.myaccountna
me.demon.co.uk.htm
'
No sign of progress, it just sits there ...
Eventually the box disappears from the screen.  My web pages have not been
updated.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Best wishes,

John

ftp://myaccountname:mypassword@homepages.demon.co.uk
is not a URL.

Reference the FTP uploading article and the troubleshooting article:
