In Publisher 2003, I can no longer publish my website to the web.  It just
hangs and eventually crashes.  It seems from this forum that this is a common
problem.

I have tried most things suggested by David Bartosik at this
linklinkhttp://msmvps.com/blogs/dbartosik/archive/category/1921.aspx

I can see my website files thru ftp, so the problem seems to be Publisher.

I have tried repair and have applied all updates I can find.  Any thoughts?

Its hard to help someone with uploading problems, because often it is a
little thing that is hard to spot. Here are a couple things you might do.
Run the design checker under tools. Perhaps you have a design element
hanging out in the scratch area. Are you using master page(s). They can give
unpredictable results. Did you recently allow Microsoft to "patch" something
on your system...if so, uninstall it, or use system restore to go back.
Patches can fix one thing, only to break something else. Go back to your
backup file you made before you updated it this time, and rebuild it one
element at a time, testing as you go. If it worked before, then what change
did you make that might create the problem now?

Worse case, most control panels for most webhosts have a mechanism for
uploading files built in. Publish to the web to a folder on your computer
where you can find it, and use the webhost control panel to upload your
files.
