I believe only Publisher 2000 created websites can be centered.

Thanks for the input
I also have version 2002 that allows centering by adding html code, but it
is on a different computer
I created the web pages in 2007, saved and opened in 2002, exported the html
files, modified html code
Yes that works!
I prefer to use the latest publisher (new features) and not have to transfer
to another version.
Would be nice if MS included the option to center pages (or is that asking
too much?)

JD I may have a gift for you. It's worth a try.
There is a program, ReplaceInFiles that makes it easy to add the <center>
code to html files.
Here are the particulars:
This works only for websites created with Publisher 2000 (fairly certain) [I
thought so until JD tells me different]
Each of your html files requires adding the <center> code after the existing
<head> code.
You can go into each html file and do it manually or get the free
ReplaceInFiles program
and make it an easy chore.
"ReplaceInFiles" can be downloaded from:
<http://www.emurasoft.com/index.htm>
The four boxes require the following information:
Find: <head>
Replace with: <head> <center>
File Types: *.html
In Folder:
(use the button to go to the folder where the html files are located on your
drive)
The bottom four boxes can be left blank.
Note: Once the boxes are filled out, the entries are retained for the next
time you use the program.

P.S. One of the kind visitors of this news group told us of Replaceinfiles
program some time ago; 'Sorry I forgot the individual's name. (Another
unsung hero).

I have "replace in files", it is a great program. Saves a bunch of time.
Problem with publisher 2007 and the <center> command, is that the page goes
to the far right extreme.
Thanks for your input

Your test confirms the center code only works with Publisher 2000 created
websites.
i.e., www.vanusa.org

Can I get clarification on this topic, please. Were or were you not able to
center the webpages in Microsoft Publisher 2007? If so, can that same thing
be done in MS Pub 2003?

I believe only Publisher 2000 can create WebPages that will allow centering
by adding the <center> code. Then <center> is required to be added to each
page of the website, i.e., www.vanusa.org.
