Hello!  I am trying to develop a website and when I preview the site the
graphics are seperated and moved in different places instead of as it appears
in the design.  I understand from the other questions and posts that it is
probably due to overlapping text boxes and graphics.  However, in my design I
do want some of the text boxes to overlap the graphics and I have a couple
grapics that overlap as well.  Is there a way to make it accept the
overlapping boxes?

Which version of Publisher?

The overall issue that you face is that there things you can do in a print
document that simply do not convert to html...they won't work in a web
document. Usually that means you have to redesign your page and find another
way to achieve your design goal.

As you have not offered a specific example of what you are trying to do, I
can't offer a specific workaround. If you are trying to use word wrap around
an image, about the only workaround is to copy both the text box and the
image, and then paste special as an image, and use the new image instead of
the text box and the original image. This will give you the effect, but the
original image will probably be of lesser quality, and the text will likely
be "fuzzy", and certainly the text can no longer be read and indexed by the
search engine web bots. You can combine any design elements by grouping and
copying, and then pasting back as an image.

In the case of trying to get a word wrap affect in a Publisher web page I
have also resorted to using two text boxes that flow the text between the
two. The first text box is small enough to snap up to the image, and the
second regular width text box snaps to the image and the first text box,
thus simulating the word wrap. However, in most cases I just come up with an
alternative design.

If you care to post the URL of the page where you have the problem, and
describe in more detail what you are trying to do, perhaps we can offer more
specific help or workarounds. Its possible your issues also involve text box
formatting, font selection, and more...but without detail it is hard to
help.

Corrie,

Isn't this like asking: The speed limit is 55 MPH and the police patrol
it constantly. Every time I drive over the speed limit I get a ticket.
Is there a way I can avoid the tickets?

Yes! Do do the "crime."

I really get a good chuckle out of your analogies sometimes :-0
