If the object is a picture, and you have overlapped a text box and trying to
use word wrap, it will make things shift. Word wrap does not work in any
versions since 2000. Are you overlapping other design elements?

Other than that you don't provide enough details of exactly what is
happening and what objects are moving, and how you have your page designed,
for me to offer much guidance. I guess I would suggest either posting back
the details or changing your design around so that the objects don't move?
