i manage a pool wholesale chemical/pool service company, and i was wondering
how i could create a login and usernames/passwords for each of my individual
customers so that they would be able to view their invoices/statements online

Look to your web host for the option of a server side solution. Most offer
password protected folder options. Read the FAQs in the support section of
your host for that information. Then you can create a password protected
folder for each customer and produce a web page for each customer...probably
using a different Pub file for each.

David, Matt's goal is an interesting challenge; a separate folder for each
website.  I suggest he not only make some good documentation on what
password goes with what folder/website AND I hope he's a believer in backing
up files.

Don,

I didn't say anything about how practical, or easily managed, the password
protected folder solution would be ;-).

Point taken though. I should have added that the OP really should be looking
to something other than Publisher for the dynamic functionality required.
Thanks.
