Shoot!!
I keep posting in the WRONG forum!!
I hate this mailing list type of message board...
I'm not used to it. I thought I was posting in the
right area.. again.. sheesh..
Well, seeing as this is here already, can I get some help?
It is not web design related though.
It's publisher files I cannot open.
I don't get error messages, eventvwr shows this though:
---------------
Faulting application mspub.exe, version 10.0.6815.0, faulting module
mspub.exe, version 10.0.6815.0, fault address 0x00012ad0.
---------------
I've tried KB articles:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/198256/en-us
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/315837/en-us
Even tried this:
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/help/HP030889831033.aspx
In the end, I still cannot open both files.
There are other files that open fine. But this is happening
more and more now.
I have purchased office2007 plus. I have enough work
with this: http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/products/HA101686761033.aspx
I don't, or rather, can't deal with losing a lot of Data!
Any insight oh wise ones!
Thanks

All I can do is repeat my earlier suggestions:
As Mary suggested in the general Publisher group, have you tried updating
your video driver?
I presume that the files are on your hard drive, and not on a removable
media?
Perhaps it would help if you installed the Office SPs and perhaps XP SPs?

Setup the newsgroups in your newsreader.

Do you have Norton?

When corruption occurs in a Publisher document it is an image at fault. If some
of your Publisher files open without issue, then you can bet it is a graphics
problem.
If upgrading your video/graphics driver doesn't help, it is time to reconstruct
your documents, saving with a new name after each insertion of an image. Close
the document, re-open. If you cannot reopen then you will know what image is
causing you grief.

Thank you Mary!
To answer some questions:
This is happening on multiple computers.
One 1yr old and another 2 months old. Both Dell machines
running XP Pro.
The problem with images is that I can't open the file to find out which
image it is? And this is happening on multiple documents with
different images.
As for reconstructing.... isn't there a better way.
I'm talking about 10+ files, with who knows how many
more on their way.....
We use Trend Micro, not Norton.
Soon we plan to drop Trend Micro (it's garbage)
and go with Nod32.
I have updated systems, SP2, and All Office updates for
Office XP.
I don't
