locationwhen i try to upload a webpage from publisher to the website,
everything seems to go well until i view the webpage online - the links and
pics aren't there, and nor are the subsequent pages. Only the text on the
homepage is displayed. i don't know if its relevant but when i save the file
as index.html and then try to open it, i get the active content warning. is
this stopping the pics from being transferred or is something else the
problem?
thanks

Have you made the site a HMLT format

Upload the index_files folder along with the index.htm file that is produced
when you Publish to the Web. It contains the supporting graphics and other
pages.

thanks. tried that and had some success. It loads very slowly though, perhaps
because there are loads of pictures. Is there any way to speed up the loading
of the webpage?

Congrats.

Yes, pictures will slow the loading of a page, but if you optimize and size
your images for the web you can minimize the file size and thus the loading
time.

I think the best way is to use a third party image editor to optimize your
images for the web, but most don't have the patience for that. So depending
on which version of Publisher you are using, you can compress the images
before you upload them. Reference: Compress graphics file sizes to create
smaller Publisher Web pages:

If you have Pub 2007, just select an image, and the compression feature will
be on the image toolbar that pops up.
