I suspect you are making one or two basic mistakes.

If you click on http://robsolman1.googlepages.com it does not take you to
your home page. It takes you to a page where you have to click on the
index.htm link in order to get to your home page, which is at:
http://robsolman1.googlepages.com/index.htm  . However, if the site was
working as it should, the default file "index.htm" should automatically open
when you click on http://robsolman1.googlepages.com. The fact it doesn't
suggests to me that you uploaded your html files to the wrong place on your
host. Read the instructions by Google about where to upload your html
files...where is the root directory? Where is the default folder?

The second mistake, which could be caused by the first is that the other
pages of your site and the supporting graphics are not where they are
supposed to be. When you Publish to the Web, Publisher generates an
index.htm file (your home page) and an index_files folder that contains your
other pages and all the supporting graphics. Be sure to upload the
index_files folder to the same directory as the index.htm file and then the
links will work.

I took a peek at your page again today to see if you had made any progress.
I had second thought. The reason the site is not automatically loading
directly from your link may be because of two "default" files in the root
directory. You not only have an index.htm file produced by Publisher, but
also a home_page.html file and the browser doesn't know which to open. In
fact if you open:
http://robsolman1.googlepages.com/home_page.html
it takes you to another web page. Perhaps this was your first effort?
Anyway, you will probably need to remove the home_page.html file in order to
get your Publisher website to load correctly. Then just remember to upload
the index_files folder along with the index.htm file.
