I would like to include in my page, the ability for visitors to download
files (audio, video (view & download), etc.). I'm not sure how, and therefore
asking this question. How can this be done?

I've thought about creating a link, pointing to the file, which is located
in a folder(directory) on the web host. I haven't tried it, but I will give
it a try. However, if there's a better, simpler way, any and all suggestions
are welcomed.

Thanks in advance!

You are on the right track; either links to each file or a link to the
folder the files are stored in.

Samples:

On the webpage put Recipes; capture it with the mouse and then
Insert
Hyperlink
/recipes
OK

In the Recipes folder put all of your recipes

Or you could create a link on the webpage for each recipe, i.e.,

Berry Cupcakes
Banana Nut Bread
etc

Then the Hyperlinks would read

/recipes/berry_cupcakes.pdf
/recipes/banana_nutbread.pdf

P.S. I've got a killer Chocolate Cake recipe,
TORTA DEI CRAUTI DEL CIOCCOLATO
(CHOCOLATE SAUERKRAUT CAKE)
