Openning HTML Files

When I open HTML files ( webpages) that have been created in Dreamweaver,
Publisher jumbles all the cells and re-arranges the page so it make no sense.

This should be just an HTML file, why is this happening. I want to be able
to change text and images from a format that is delivered to me, for updating
, etc., and have Publisher to do that

Any thoughts what is happening here?

Thanks

Publisher isn't designed to open html files.  You could use Notepad.

Danny,

This is common. It's called an ID 10T user error.

Okay, sorry, you cannot do what you want. There simply is not a fool
proof method for opening files created by one program in another,
regardless of how you try to import them.

Publisher is primarily a dtp program and not designed as an html editor, so
you can't open DW web files to edit in Publisher. You could with FrontPage
or almost any other html editor but even still you will need to have a
pretty solid knowledge of html & css to fix things that may go awry.

Vice versa as well...iow; you can open Pub webs with DW or FP but the pub
webs are almost impossible to edit with anything else but Publisher.
