I've found the options to enter keywords that show up in the meta-tag on my
website but I need space for more keywords. We are a small business and would
like closer to 1000 characters instead of the 255 maximum allowed by
publisher. Is it possible to get more keywords?

Sorry, that is all you get with Publisher. Perhaps you really don't need so
many more? In my reading on the subject of SEO it would seem that the
importance of the keywords has diminished significantly in recent years. My
sense of it is that it is more important to make sure your keywords and
phrases are within the content of the page, and that might be a tad hard to
do if you had a 1000 characters.
