You will find directions on how to direct your domain name to your web host
from your web host and/or where you registered the domain. Go to the support
section of your web host and start reading.

If you are going to use Publisher to produce your site, then you might also
read: Prepare, publish, and maintain your Publisher Web site:

Thanks for your help David, but i think im still doing something wrong
because my website still doesnt go to my domain name.  Let be break it down
what im doing and maybe you can tell me what im doing wrong:
this is my website address from my isp-
http://members.shaw.ca/citylifewinnipeg/
if i type this in the address bar the site comes up fine.  The domain i have
is http://citylifewinnipeg.ca(which i purchased for 1 year at a domain site).
I want to make it so that when someone types that addres in the address bar
it goes to my website for viewing.  If you have to talk to me like im 5 years
old i dont mind, just please please tell me what im doing wrong.

My first guess is that you are using your personal web space rather than a
business account, true? If so read item 3:
http://www.shaw.ca/en-ca/CustomerCare/InternetSupport/Residential/WebSpace/WebSp
aceFAQs.htm#q3

It appears that you cannot use your domain name when you try to use the free
web space. You will probably need to select a different web host, as you
certainly wouldn't want to host a paid site with Shaw. You can find
webhosting for ~$5 a month. I can make suggestions if interested.

Who did you register the domain name with?

Then you have your answer. You cannot host your domain on the free personal
web space. You will have to find another web host and

I would add that you should contact your webhost to confirm that is indeed
what it is saying...that you can't
host your domain...
