I recently tried to develop a family based website using Publisher 2003. I
published the files to a designated folder on my hard drive because I'm
using geocities.com as a host. When Publisher published the files for the
site, I found 2 files that were added to the index_files folder that had a
.wzm extension. That extension is for windows media player "skins".
Geocities.com doesn't recognize the extension so it won't take the upload.
Thus, certain graphics that are a crucial element on the site will not post
and the site is viewed incomplete.
The wierd thing about it...when I preview the site through publisher using
Internet Explorer, it loads fine...it looks fine....but try to post for
real?...no go!
HELP!!!!

Publisher 2003 is using wzm files in support of VML.
You can delete all your site files and then in Publisher go to Tools, web
options, web site options, web tab, and uncheck the VML and the PNG options
and then resave and republish the web site.
Then see if you no longer get wmz files, it may be possible that you do.
If this works then great. If not then all you can do is contact the host
about supporting the files or not use Publisher 2003.
