Hi all,
Since you always solve my problems here, I thought I'd get some input
on this.
I have a website at www.wintensive.com. I publish all the pages from
a single pub file. This is easy and works great (Except for page
centering....grrrrr)
I am experimenting with all sorts of landing pages and I want to use a
subdomain for a new landing page - something like
"securedata.wintensive.com"
I know how to setup the subdomain with my host (godaddy). The
question is, how do I tell Publisher to post to the subdomain? I'm
happy to learn how to use multiple pub files for a single website, and
make the subdomain pages in a separate pub file, but I just don't know
how to tell Publisher not to publish to www.wintensive.com.
Thanks in advance for your input!

FTP to the subweb.
If you're publishing via http:// & FPSE...good luck...GoDaddy would need to
enable the extensions in the subweb.
I was just messing around with this myself last week, ended up just using
FileZilla to the subweb (too lazy to install FPSE on the subweb which I am
going to delete anyway).

I'm going to just use ftp publishing. How do I tell publisher where
to publish. Do I just send it to ftp://subdomain.domain.com or is
there a specific file on the server side for the subdomain that I have
to specify. And how would I specify that folder?
My exact situation is that I have created 3 new pages in a new pub
file that I want to be the subdomain pages. Would it be easier to add
those pages to the original domain pub file? If I did that how do you
specify which pages are the subdomain and which are the domain pages?
Right now I can publish with ftp to ftp://ftp.domain.com
Pardon the cluelessness! sorry.

I use filezilla and this chore is a snap.
Using Filezilla, create a new folder such as subdomain or whatever.
Publish my site to my HD. Drag the folders to it.
