I built my website in Publisher 2000. Now I have Publisher 2003 and I can't get it to FTP correctly and it doesn't automatiicaly downsize the photos as the older version did. Also, when I save as web pages, when I FTP Upload, I get a message saying I haven't moved in yet, so I have to go back and reload the old version or my website is empty. I am so frustrated.
I have a 10 page web site right now, but I still need to add text. If I can't get the new version without text to upload correctly, I hate to waste my time creating all that text. Can I have the old and new versions of Publisher on my computer? For some things, I need the new version, but for web design, Publisher 2000 seems to be much better. Only thing is, with the new version, I can at least rename the pages.
I do not think Publisher 2003 was created to make websites.

If that was the case, then why would there be a Publisher Web Design Forum?

Publisher 2000 will do the job. Can't see Microsoft removing that capability
from 2003.

Please refer to David Bartosik's web site for publishing web sites created in '03 and previous versions.

Much good info there.

Thank you for the link! Very good info there. I already upgraded to 2003, but until earlier had not figured out how to publish my new web pages. My hubby figured it out for me - the files are very different in this new version. Still have some bugs to work out, so I appreciate you posting a helpful link. Thank You!
If it was not, then why do they templates to create web
sites?

Clarification & Proper Perspective -
Publisher IS a DTP (desktop publishing tool), not a web design tool.
Publisher supports web pages (see my web site for help with such).
Word IS a word processor tool, not a web design tool.
Word supports web pages (sometimes better than Publisher !)
FrontPage IS a web design tool.
analogy:
A hammer can be used to put a screw in a wall but it's not a screw driver.
