Well I see from reading the other questions that I'm not the only one having
problems getting pictures to show up on their websites. Is everyone having
the same problem you insert your pics. and save to file, or embed them either
way they work great in web page preview. But when you up-load your files to
your web hosting service and you check your website your pics are gone, just
a box and red x
I haven't seen a response yet so hopefully someone who has figured this out
will read these and give us a hand

The most common reason for images not being seen is that the user has not
uploaded the images.

Assuming that you are using Pub 2003 or 2007 at the default settings, then
when you "Publish to the Web" and produce the web files, Publisher will
produce an index.htm file which is your home page, plus an index_files
folder that contains all the supporting graphics and all the other web pages
in your site. In addition to the index.htm file, you need to upload the
index_files folder intact.

I finally found out what was wrong in my case, after posting to the
FileZilla bug forum.

I had FileZilla set to the default ASCII File Type instead of the
correct Auto File Type. Not knowing any better.

Correcting this, pictures upload and view fine, eliminating the Red X
of Death.

Clive,

Thanks for posting that information. I will include it when I suggest
FileZilla in the future. Very good to know!
