Help, My pictures don't show up!  The instructions in help say to select the
file, click insert, then click "link to file"  but after I insert it does not
give me option to link to file.  What do I do?

What do you mean your pictures don't show up? When you do a web page preview
or after you upload your web pages to your host? Don't worry about linking
to file...just insert the picture into the publication. Which version of
Publisher are you using?

I'm using Publisher 2007. I fixed the problem last night after I sent the
post; however, I thought I would respond to you anyway as this may help
others.  When I uploaded the webpage into my browser I didn't know that you
had to also upload the "index file"

After I did this, my picture now are on my website instead of the "x"

My next project to tackle is to find out how to create a slide show to
insert without having to use the ones online that put in advertisement.

Thanks, Brenda

Glad you figured it out, and thanks for posting back.

As per slide shows, read my response to brelade's post Picture Slideshow.
