i already have pub 2002 on my pc. i want to do a website. ive heard that pub 2000 is better than 2002 for this. should i get 2000? and if so, do i have to uninstall 2002 to use it? and what about 2003? please forgive my ignorance
any help sure would be appreciated.

I'd recommend 2000.
You can learn all the pro's and con's and tips at my website.
To run multiple versions you select the custom install option and change the
install folder and tell it not to remove existing versions.

I think 2000 is the easiest to use and less problems. You would think newer
is better but it's not.

I'm a 2000 user and have been satisfied so far. If you get 2003 you'll need
Windows XP.
