I have a 7-page newsletter in Publisher 2003 saved as a .pub file

I want to save all seven pages in Word97-rtf format for editing.

When I do
File--> Save As--> Word97-2003/rtf (*.doc)
it only saves PAGE ONE!

How do I easily save/convert pages two through seven?

Same result when saving as a .mht file (Single File Web Page/.mht)-- it only
saves page one. I need all seven pages.

I just tested that feature with an 18 page .pub file. I get a 12 page .rtf.

You are welcome to shoot it over to me if you'd like. Please use JL_Paules
at hotmail dot com.

Hotmail is rejecting the .pub attachment as being too big (1.1MB). Either
the file is too big, or your mailbox is too full.

Any workarounds? Thank you very much for your offer to help. I am very
grateful.

Most format conversions you have to do one page at a time.

I just did some testing for you on using the
File--> Save As--> Word97-2003/rtf (*.doc)

I found that it saves the full document (ie all pages) BUT did you read the
dialog notice??
The notice clearly states that only text is saved!

Your pub file once all non text is removed must only fill one text page.

I did a 4 page pub file with text and pictures then converted to the other
format I got 3 text pages.
I then added two pages of images and removed some text from the first pages
and then converted got 2 text pages.

Yes, I know it's text only. I need all seven pages to convert to text. I
know the seven will be reduced to less than seven once the pictures are
stripped out, but when I Save As-->[RTF] I only end up with the text from
the page one. I lose the text from pages two to seven.

Text only is acceptable for my purpose.

I also tried the .mht conversion. It only converts page one.

Is there a bug in my Publisher? If so, what do I do about that? My build of
Publisher 2003 is: 11.5525.5703 and was contained on the Office 2003 Pro CD.

No bug that's known. I tested this and could not repro any such issue.
I guess send me your file and I'll see if I can repro your issue.

OK, I sent the seven page newsletter, 818K .pub file to the email address
listed on your web site. Thank you very much for trying this.

I have confirmed your issue and have no answer. I'll advise accordingly if I
learn something.

You too, huh? Damnedest thing. I can do it with my documents but his just
won't do more than the first page.

Thanks JoAnn. I thought I was nuts or missing something simple.

Can you pass this up the food chain? A thousand thanks for all your help!

I'll see what I can do. I even tried copying and pasting everything into a
new doc. It got worse - all I got was the Table of Contents!

Microsoft staff figured it out and the workaround. The table of contents was
the stopper. It  was corrupted somehow. Solution: Cut the table of contents.
Resave .pub file. Paste table of contents back in. Ungroup then regroup
table of contents. Save .pub file. FIXED! Go figure! But, it's done, and I'm
on my way. Glad it's not a program limitation or general bug.
Regards, and thanks to all who helped.
