Can anyone help me. I,m currently working on a publication that is 31000kb long. Up until 3 days ago it was running ok. Now everytime I try to add anything or edit the program takes agaes to respond and the screen freezes for up to a minute. Video/graphics driver? Go to the manufacturer's web site of your graphics card and look around for an updated driver. Thank you for your reply however I got the size of my publication wron it is 27.6 mb long and only includes clip art and some pictures will this slow it down or should i try what you suggested. it is getting to thge point where I cnat do anything in the publication without the screen freezing. A Publisher file can be 2 GB. I do believe you are experiencing a graphics driver problem. It isn't too difficult installing a new driver. Do a disk cleanup. Click Start, right-click My Computer, and then click Properties. 2. In the System Properties dialog box, click the Advanced tab. 3. In the Performance pane, click Settings. 4. Change the Initial size value and the Maximum size value to a higher value, click Set, and then click OK. 7. Yes you are correct I'm in the process of doenloading catalyst 6.6. I hope this helps with my problem. Did you re-boot? To find out if the installation was successful, control panel, display folder, settings tab, advanced button, adapter tab, properties button, drivers tab. The version number should be 6.6. What is your motherboard? Have you checked for a BIOS update? Intel has downloads for acceleration on their site.
