I can't help you. I've only used Craig's List once and it's just a simple
little blurb. No HTML. I would suggest checking with a Word newsgroup or
more ideally, a newsgroup for people who use Craig's List a lot.

I'm 99.99998% sure craigslist will barf on Publisher's html, you may have a
shot with Word...maybe.
Why not just create your ad with Publisher and save it as an image (.jpg)
and upload that, then add some straight text to the upload?
I'm no expert with craigslist, but since you had brought it up I've been
exploring it (looking for a cheap car for my daughter) and seems a lot of
ads are just text with an image added.

Your right, most ads are simple text with an uploaded image. However, CL is
now charging for Employers, such as myself, to post a job ad. Moreover, a
"web page" style ad looks more professional. Uploading the publisher file as
an image is not an option because it will be reduced in size, making it
illegable. Can I save it as a web page, host it and insert the source somehow
in the body of the ad.
Oh, by the way, why will CL barf on publisher html?

There are no shortcuts to making a "professional" looking web page.
> Oh, by the way, why will CL barf on publisher html?
Because Publisher HTML (at least since Publisher 2002) is not real HTML.

Your ad won't look more professional if it is full of HTML markup errors
or chokes on Internet Explorer, and if the images are of poor quality.
