Whenever I open a Publisher document I get the message "Publisher cannot
load the hyphenation dictionary".

I have tried repairing, reinstalling and a few other things, but I am
floundering around not knowing what is wrong, or what to do.

The box that comes up suggests reinstalling, but that does not work; or
shortage of memory, but I have 1GB.

Any ideas?

What does the error specifically say? Usually when memory is mentioned it isn't
RAM it is virtual memory.
It would be helpful to know your version of Publisher.
You receive a "Not enough memory to load graphics or embedded objects" error
message when you open a Publisher publication

The whole message says: ' Publisher cannot load the hyphenation
dictionary. There may not beenough memory, or the dictionary may not be
installed. To make morememory available, close other programs, and try
again. To reinstall the hyphenation dictionary, run Setup again. For
information on running Setup, press F1 now.'

I have version 2000.

There is 1GB of 'real' memory, plus 1.4GB of virtual memory. I get this
message even if there are no other programs running.

Do you have Norton?
The script blocking feature of Norton can cause some memory errors.
Are you running Publisher in a compatibility mode? If you are be sure you have
designated a display setting.

Think about using the cleanup utility. This might fix Publisher when you
re-install the program. Just be certain you have your product number.
