Hi all,
I have received a publisher file that has been burnt to disk with the
identical program as mine. I can not open it . It just says publisher can't
open this file. Is there any magic thing I could try to open it. Thanks.

All incoming and outgoing emails are checked by "VET Anti-Virus Protection
2007" auto updated and just to make sure AVG has also been installed.

Copy the file to your hard drive, remove the read-only attribute
(right-click > Properties to change it), and try opening it there.

Two antivirus applications are not necessarily better than one.

AFAIK - two CAN be worse than one.

Thanks for the help. No luck though. I think the file may be too large but
the one burnt with it opens fine.

When you say "identical program" are you meaning same version? In
Publisher, BIG difference in the various versions. Both Publisher programs
have any and all Service Packs?
Also, try turning off the Virus Protection programs, if not already
suggested.
And you might try copying the file from the hard drive to a thumb drive for
transport.
Then there's split the file into chunks with a file splitting program and
e-mailing it to yourself.

Thank you all for your help. Not sure why it would not open but it was a
large file but one nearly as large opened alongside it. We had to travel
back 50k's and burn it again. First we deleted a few files and then it
opened.
Thanks again
