When I open publisher 2002 it immediately closes.

There appears to be a grey microsoft message box which appears in the center
of the screen first, but the program closes so quickly that I cannot read it.

Does anyone know how I can fix this problem?  All of my other office 2002
applications still work fine.

Thanks,

Brian

Thanks for your help John.  I believe that it has something to do with an
incomplete product activation.  I was able to read the grey box dialogue and
it says "preparing to install."

I tried changing the registry as suggested in one of the fixes you mention,
but it still has not resolved the problem.  Nor did going to the Start menu,
office tools, and clicking on "acitvate."  Supposedly I am supposed to get
some instructions to follow here, but nothing opens up.

If this additional information provides any new leads I would appreciate
more suggestions.

Thanks again,

Sincerely,

Brian

If you have your product number and installation disk, you might want to try
