error messages

keep getting error messages whenever i try to install
publisher 2000 off of cds...
it says that my window installer is not installed properly
or that i may be running in safe mode.
i have tried to reinstall windows installer, but still
gives me same error off of the microsoft download page, it
still says that it can not download.
i am not running in safe mode and am operating on windows
2000 system.
please help me.

When you say CD's; do you mean you have 2 Office CD's? Publisher is on CD #2, install
from the second CD.

yes i have two cds and i have tried to install from the
second cd, but when i insert the cd in i get an error
message saying that windows does not have enough memory.
and then i have tried to reinstll windows cleaner and
windows installer, but it will not let me.  please see
post down below that i have responded to for the reason.

You will need to use the Windows Installer Cleaner and then download the new
Windows Installer.
You cannot proceed without using these tools.

If the website did not work earlier, it functions perfectly now.

i tried what you said to do and installed the cleaner but
i am operating on a windows installer 2.0
and this is what the download page said
The Msicu.exe and Msicuu.exe utilities are not supported
on systems where Microsoft Windows Installer 2.0 or later
is installed, including Microsoft Windows XP.
I followed the directions and I have windows installer 2.0
is there anything else that i can do?

Did you run the cleaner? It has nothing to do with what version Installer you have.
