Good morning all,

I am using Pub 2002.  It is working great except when
opening one 16 page document.  Just this week, Pub started
crashing when opening this document.  Last week it was
working fine.  All the other documents open fine.

Some specifics about this document.  It does have links to
Word docs and the links update when the file is opened.
But it is crashing before it even tries to update the
links.

I am hoping to be able to get around this problem so I
don't have to recreate the whole thing.

Specifics from the error message.  BTW, I am running XP
SP1.

AppName: mspub.exe    AppVer: 10.0.4128.0
ModName: gdi32.dll
ModVer: 5.1.2600.1106    Offset: 0000b924

Thanks,

Gilley

Thanks for the quick reply Mary.  Here is my version
information:

Pub 2002 (10.4128.4219) SP2

I believe I have downloaded all the service packs.

Awaiting your reply.

Can you open your file in safe mode?  If worse comes to worse you can recover the
text, file, open, files of type, scroll down to "recover text from any file". Do a
detect and repair under help.

Service Pack 3 for Office XP (and therefore Publisher 2002) is now
available.

Two questions.

1) Do you have Adobe Type Manager installed?
2) Do any other documents created BEFORE this document crash on load?

I just double-checked but I do not have Adobe Type Manager
installed.  Also, I can open many of the documents created
prior to this one.

I am just at a loss.

Thanks for your assistance.
