I'm making a trifold church bulletin.  I've made three columns. There's not
enough space between the columns to fold. The layout lines for the 1st and
2nd column and the layout line for the 2nd and 3rd column seem to join.  When
I try to move it, it affect both columns.  Is there a way I can just increase
the distance between the  blue and pink lines of the layout guide or do I
have to take care of the space between columns by sizing the different frame
boxes?

Brochures are tricky in Publisher because of your printer's margin limitation. You
are better off using guide lines for your setup.
I have a sample brochure on my web site that shows a workaround for a margin problem.
It also has the guide lines.
