Having set up a text frame and split it into 2 columns
using format text frame, after typing some text into the
first column i was wondering if it is possible to get into
the 2nd column without having to keep pressing the return
key.
thanks Michael

In that case you would normally be better to use two separate text frames.
Of if they are doing say a newsletter, they will have the heading in the
same frame. You are better using a separate frame for the header and a
separate frame for the body text.

....or, type all the text you want and then push up on the
bottom "handle" of the text box to get the text to flow
into your other columns. (or change font size too.)
