After managing to set up OE-QuoteFix on his new PC, Ed reads a message

You could do with 256 - but this probably isn't the problem

This sounds good

I would suggest a motherboard/processor upgrade to your computer - or a new
PC

Windows XP tends to offer better performance in this area

No, you should always save to the hard drive :)

Unfortunately, a new PC is not a viable solution at this
point. I work for a church which has limited funds as you
can imagine. After e-mailing this morning, I went out and
deleted my *.tmp files off of c:. I'm hoping this might
take care of the problem. Apparently, every time it was
crashing it was saving a seperate tmp file.

If you have a 2mb picture in jpeg format, that could blow
up to over 16mb in Publisher because it will be stored
uncompressed. Publisher can only handle 16mb pictures
uncmopressed. This is assuming you have Publisher 2000 or
older.
