application start up

does anyone know why my computer requests the office CD
when starting the application

it seems to be gathering information and then the
application starts

have attempted uninstall and reinstall several time to no
effect

Have you done a full/Complete install by going through
Custom install and having Office run all from your
computer?

If you told us what version of Windows and Publisher you had it would have
enabled a proper reply to your issue.
This below is more than likely what is required to fix your issue, but check
for compatability with your version of Office/Publisher and Windows.
You can get a program from the MS website called "msicu.exe" and there is a
second one required for Disk 2 of Office. Read the instructions with these
files carefully, and fully understand how they work, but they will/should
cure your ills.

Before re-installing Office and Publisher, download and install the new
version of the Windows Installer.
