Reopening publisher doc, the text is converted to last font used?

When I open a multiple page, multiple font publisher doc, the entire text of
the doc has been converted to the last font used before saving?  Help!!!!

No, it was created from a blank page, of which there are 24 pages now with
text box inserts and some word art. Thanks for responding.
