I recently purchased Publisher 2003 and can't seem to edit any document from
a previous version.

Are you running Norton AV? Try disabling NAV Script Blocking
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Start NAV
Click Options. If a menu appears when you click Options, then click
NortonAntiVirus. The Norton AntiVirus Options
dialog box appears.
Click Script Blocking.
Uncheck Enable Script Blocking (recommended).
Click OK.
Restart the computer if prompted to do so.
I see you're another idiot who sprinkles apostrophes around like confetti.
'Documents' is a plural and plurals do *NOT* require apostrophe's (unless
it's a possessive plural, when the apostrophe goes *AFTER* the 's' - e.g. the
cats' bowls. The only exception to this is where the noun taking the
possessive is already plural - e.g. 'people' or 'children' - you would say
'the children's coats' *not* the childrens' coats'.
When I was teaching, I used to make my children write out the offending
word/phrase/sentence, etc 100  times( 10 times for the infants) so that it
would be imprinted on their brains and they wouldn't make the same mistake in
the future. It never failed.
Secondly, no one here has a crystal ball. What does "can't seem to edit'
mean? If you don't describe the problem clearly, then no one can help you.
What does this have to do with Publisher?
