MS Office Forum / Word / Word Errors / July 2008Why does word continually "encounter a problem and need to close".
A few days ago, I was using Microsoft Office Word 2003, and a dialog box saying "Microsoft Office Word has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." It gave me the option to send an error report (I assume someone is familiar with what I am referring to. After repeated attempts to use Word, I gave up because it would constantly "encounter a problem and need to close". Like I said before, this has never happened until a few days ago.
