Whenever I create a new macro in Word, after I have quit the application and
then reloaded Word, the macro has disappeared.

The macro is associated with the Normal.dot template.

To solve this problem, I first thought that the Normal template was
corrupted, so I went through the usual process of renaming the template to
Normal.old and then restarting Word.  This did not solve the problem.

I then completely uninstalled Microsoft Office XP and reinstalled the
program.  This step did not solve the problem either.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

If you have just installed Acrobat v7...

edit the Windows registry by finding the key
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\Word\Addins\PDFMaker.OfficeAddin]

and change the subkey called "LoadBehavior" from a value of 3 to 0
