every time I try to change my formating to "Default" I get an error message
saying  "the setting I chose for leaft and right margins, colume spacing, or
paragraph indents are too large for the page width"  This is working with a
New Balnk Document.

This is probably a problem with your printer driver. Try deleting and
reinstalling the printer again (check to see that you have the latest driver
first).

Just to clarify, clicking the Default... button doesn't reset your margins
to the default settings; it resets the defaults to your current settings.
