Ijust installed a new Epson All-In-One printer.  It will not print anything
but black and white in Word 2003.  In Excel 2003 it prints color just fine,
it copies and prints color and it will print color pages of the internet.
Help! Ron

Check the settings on the Print tab of Tools | Options. "Draft font" might
cause this. There is also a Compatibility Option regarding color vs.
monochrome printers, but I doubt that it's relevant.

Hi Suzanne, Thanks for your help.  What I have done to test color printing is
to
"draw" 4 standard shapes (squares) and fill them with different colors to
try to print.  What is also interesting is that none of these shapes show up
when I do a print preview...only the black text

Well, that's a different story. On the Print tab of Tools | Options, check
the box for "Drawing objects."

Hi Ron,

Can you tell what exactly you are trying to print is it the picture inserted
on a Word document or is it a Background color on your word document.

Hi Saakar, thanks for the help.  I made up a test print document in word
composed of black type and 3 autoshapes which are filled with the three
primary colors to test the printing.  I can print the type but not the
autoshapes.  In fact, when I do a print preview the colored autoshapes don't
even come up on the preview

Can u try to check with the Tools>Options and Print Tab there is an option
that says Include with Document that should have Drawing objects checked and
if you have Word 2003 you can also check Background color and Images

Best Luck Ron....
