My normal.dot isnt blank. I have tried everything inc uninstall

office 2000 I saved a recipe and now that is what opens when I open a blank
doc.
I have followed all the instructions on finding normal.dot files and erasing
or renaming them, I even unistalled the Word and looked for any files not
uninstalled and delted them and its still there when I reinstall. HELP!!
