installed new hard drive

I recently installed a new seagate hard drive. The installation went fine and
I copied everything from the old drive to the new one. At first, when I
opened Word, I got an installer window but then got an error message saying
that the package could not be opened (or something to that effect). Went to
Microsoft and found that products installed with the old installer would not
install properly and I needed to run the windows install cleanup utility. Did
that and re-installed Office. Now, when I open a Word document, I get an
installer window then a window that says "the command cannot be performed
because a dialog box is open. Click OK, then close dialog boxes to continue."
I click OK, the installer box closes and after a lengthy wait, Word opens.
When I try to open the office assistant, I get a dialog box that says "there
was a problem starting the office assistant. Would you like to try
reinstalling it?" I click yes, the installer window opens, the progress bar
runs then I get another dialog box that says "the office assistant could not
be started, the assistant might not have been disabled properly, there might
be problems with your Office setup, or your computer might be low on memory."

Anyone know how to fix this?

Never mind folks. I guess I just had to reinstall SP 2 and all of the
updates. Automatic Updates automatically downloaded what I needed and after
installing them everything seems to be working O.K. now.

Will post again if I have more problems. Thanks anyway.
