Can't type in word

I can not due any typing in word - can type in any other program except word
works 8

I don't think Works 8 has Word: Word only came with Works Suite.

If it is Word, then I would guess that Tools, Protect has been set. Try
Tools, Unprotect.

yes it is word - I checked under tools and saw nothing about protect or
unprotect.

out the version.

works version 8 I have uninstalled and reinstalled still does not work

If it is Works, then it isn't Word. You need to post in the Works newsgroup.
