Word/Excel/Outlook 2007 - Save As... will not go away

I'm helping someone who is having an issue with Office 2007 apps.
The "Save as..." window keeps popping up automatically on any document they
are working on in Word/Excel/Outlook. If you cancel or close, it just pops
right back up.

The auto-recovery settings don't seem to be prompting it and it is a problem
that only recently began.

Has anyone seen anything similar?

To follow up, I was having them do a detect/repair on the Office install
while I was writing the post. That seems to have fixed the problem.
