Using Word 2003.  When working on a document, I save it to the network, and
continue working.  When I try to save it again, it refuses because the
document is now read-only.  I have to rename it each time.  What's up????

What server OS are you saving the document on?

First timer, sorry about the blank.
We are running Server 2003 on our network SAN.

Thanks for your willingness to help...

If you are the only user having the problem, then I would suspect a corrupt
user profile. Are you able to get someone else to log into the server using
your workstation and see if they have a similar problem. That way you can
see if it is a server permissions problem or a user profile problem.
