Word 2007 Hangs After Being Started

I recently installed Microsoft Enterprise Office 2007 on my laptop and I have
been problems with Microsoft Word (Excel, Powerpoint and the rest run
perfectly fine). Doing anything after I start up Microsoft Word causes it to
hang, including scrolling the window down or any other actions. I previously
installed the same copy of Microsoft Office on my PC and it runs perfectly
fine.

I have tried running it by using command "winword.exe /a" but it still
hangs. It shouldn't be a add-on problem because my antivirus is not Norton
Antivirus. I have also tried repairing and reinstalling Microsoft Office 2007
but it still doesn't work. What could be the problem here?

It might be a corrupted user profile setting (or other user-related file).
Unfortunately, this isn't all that uncommon. I would try creating a new
Windows user (Control Panel), logging on as that user, and seeing if Word
still hangs.
