When I open a Word document on my PC, I am able to view the Table of
Contents. However, when a colleague opens the same document on his PC,
instead of the Table of Contents, he sees { TOC \0 "1-3" \U } on the page.
Additionally, the Header on the document does not display correctly, although
it does display correctly on my PC. I've deleted all the TEMP, Temporary
Internet, and OLK files and have also reinstalled Office 2003, but he is
still having the same problem. This is with any number of Word documents,
they all show the strange error above only on his computer. Any ideas would
be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

On your colleague's computer (assuming your colleague has Word 2003 or
earlier), click on Tools | Options | View tab | uncheck the boxes for
"All", "Hidden text", and "Field codes" | Print tab | uncheck the boxes
for "Hidden text" and "Field codes" | OK.
